Production Assistant
Location: Auburn, WA 98802
Pay: $20/hr
Shift: 12 hour shifts on a 2-2-3 schedule and rotating weekends (Day/Night)
Job Summary:
The Production Assistant is an entry-level manufacturing position that supports production operations across multiple departments including printing, slitting, converting, and extrusion. Employees assist machine operators with material handling, equipment setup support, quality checks, and general production tasks while learning core manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist machine operators with production setups and changeovers
Stage and move materials, rolls, and finished product throughout the production area
Load and unload materials on printing, slitting, converting, and extrusion equipment
Monitor product quality and assist with inspections
Package and label finished materials
Maintain clean and organized work areas
Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Support operators in maintaining efficient production flow
Perform other production support tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
Manufacturing or production experience preferred but not required
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn manufacturing processes
Strong commitment to prioritizing safety in all work activities
Strong attention to quality
Ability to work in a team-based production environment
Reliable attendance and work ethic
Willingness to work day or night shift as needed
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work 12-hour shifts
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
Ability to handle large rolls of material and production equipment safely
